Advantage Capital Partners Names New Principal
Patrick Doherty brings extensive investment experience to role
ST. LOUIS, January 24, 2012 - Advantage Capital Partners, a leading venture capital and small business finance firm, is proud to announce the addition of a new firm principal, Patrick G. Doherty. As a member of the firm’s Investment Group, Doherty will be responsible for investment activities and portfolio management.
Doherty joins Advantage Capital after 20 years in the investment banking and private equity industries. He is the founder and Managing Member of Saturday Capital, a lower middle-market private equity and venture capital firm. Mr. Doherty previously served as the President of Mariner Private Equity, LLC, managing a lower middle-market private equity fund and an early stage venture investment fund with $75 million in committed capital. He is a former Managing Director and the Group Head of the Consumer and Industrial investment banking practice at A.G. Edwards. During his tenure there, he led a staff of mergers & acquisition professionals focused on executing sell-side and buy-side engagements for lower middle-market privately held corporations. Before joining A.G. Edwards, Mr. Doherty was an investment banker in the mergers & acquisitions department at Dean Witter Reynolds in New York. He has also held several management positions with Eagle Snacks, Inc.
