Caleb Gipple
Senior Analyst

Caleb Gipple is a business development analyst at Advantage Capital. As a member of the investment team, he is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and providing due diligence supprt.

Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Caleb was a regional director for a national nonprofit organization based in Richmond, VA, where he was responsible for leading strategic growth for the organization.

Caleb received his bachelor's degree in public administration from University of Northern Iowa as well as an executive certificate from University of Richmond.

Duncan Young
Analyst

Duncan Young is an analyst on the investment team where he is responsible for sourcing investments and providing due diligence support.

Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Duncan was an associate project developer at Chico State Enterprises.

Duncan received his bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University, Chico.

Thomas Titus
Vice President of Business Development

Thomas Titus is vice president of business development at Advantage Capital where he supports the business development needs of the firm’s government-guaranteed lending team, generating SBA and USDA loans in underserved communities.

Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Thomas was a business development manager for Porter Capital Inc., for which he built a portfolio of new customers in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Louisiana. He was also a business development manager for Private Business Inc., where he was responsible for generating new customers for client banks and managing the banks A/R portfolio.

Philip Ruppel
Principal

Philip Ruppel is a principal and a member of the firm’s investment team. His responsibilities include sourcing new deals as well as providing due diligence and valuation analysis for current and prospective investments.

Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Philip worked for Navigation Capital Partners in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was responsible for evaluating prospective investments, conducting due diligence of investments, executing transactions and monitoring portfolio companies. He also spent time in New York working as an investment banking analyst for Bear Stearns.

Philip received his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Rhodes College.
