Raymond M. Wagner joined Advantage Capital Partners in 2009. As a member of the firm’s investment group, he is primarily responsible for business development across the Midwest and Nevada. In addition, he leads due diligence, underwriting and valuation analysis of the firm’s prospective investments. In his tenure with the firm, Mr. Wagner has been involved with numerous transactions totaling nearly $250 million, all of which were provided to businesses located in low-income and distressed communities.
Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Mr. Wagner served as an associate at R.L. Hulett & Company, Inc., a St. Louis-based middle-market investment banking firm, where he provided merger and acquisition, strategic consulting, business valuation, and finance-sourcing services to companies with annual revenues ranging from $5 to $200 million.
Mr. Wagner is a graduate of the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in finance, managerial economics and strategy, and entrepreneurship. He is an Eagle Scout and a volunteer with Our Little Haven, a non-profit organization that serves children recovering from abuse or neglect. In 2012, he was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal with a “30 under 30” award for significant professional accomplishment and meaningful community involvement.
