Scott A. Zajac is an investment professional with more than 25 years of experience in real estate finance, venture capital, small business lending and investment banking. He is involved in the firm’s investment analysis and monitoring activities and sits on the boards of several Advantage Capital Partners portfolio companies. Mr. Zajac is also a member of the firm’s clean energy team, a group of experienced individuals dedicated to investing in alternative energy companies.
Since Joining Advantage Capital in 1996, Mr. Zajac has been involved in sourcing, structuring, approval and oversight of more than $110 million of transactions. These investments have attracted nearly $324 million in follow-on capital.
Prior to joining Advantage Capital, Mr. Zajac was with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., where he led a structured finance transactions group and was involved with the design, development, and trading of billions of dollars of structured investment products. Before that, Mr. Zajac was responsible for analyzing, issuing and monitoring complex structured finance transactions at Citicorp Mortgage.
Mr. Zajac is a 2011 graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program. He received a master’s degree in information systems from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University. He also received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University. He is a Certified Treasury Manager.
