Supporting Small Businesses

We invest in job-generating businesses and help ensure financing is available in capital-starved markets nationwide.

Investment capital is not always readily available in the areas where we concentrate. Businesses in rural towns and distressed urban census tracts do not usually have the same access to investment as tech companies on the coasts.

Entrepreneurs and operators in overlooked areas of America often face investment obstacles when managing growth. With targeted funds, we funnel capital to areas where it isn’t naturally flowing.

Our investments are made possible by our partners.

Flexible Loans

We provide both traditional asset-based and cash-flow-based loans. We also offer subordinated and mezzanine loans—with flexible capital to support growth initiatives—that often don’t require collateral or personal guarantees from owners. And many of our funds include incentives to provide flexible and below-market capital, which can include reduced interest rates and lowered or no closing fees.

Equity Investments

Our investments span the risk spectrum and range from the earliest stages of business development in Series A to later-stage, growth-focused capital for more mature companies. And we anchor our equity investments with a strategic partnership that includes a shared vision for continued success and expansion.

In addition to investing nationwide through the Federal NMTC program, we are participating in state-specific investment programs.

Learn More About Our Business

While SBA loans can be valuable, they can be cumbersome and slow to process. Through programs like the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and the Rural Jobs Act (RJA), Advantage Capital offers loan alternatives that provide similar benefits with fewer barriers to entry. These programs allow us to move capital more quickly to entrepreneurs—helping businesses in underserved areas access flexible financing to grow, hire, and invest in their communities.

Our financing solutions are built through proven public-private partnerships and programs like the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and the Rural Jobs Act (RJA), which enable us to deploy flexible capital in communities that traditional lenders often overlook. Unlike conventional bank loans that can require significant collateral and lengthy approvals, our approach leverages these programs to offer accessible, adaptable financing that meets the realities of growing businesses—particularly those in undercapitalized markets.

Our financing options are ideal for entrepreneurs in rural or/or undercapitalized areas across the country, as well as businesses that may not qualify for traditional bank loans. They are also a strong fit for companies with unique business models, high growth potential, or those seeking more customized funding solutions for specific growth initiatives or working capital needs.
