At Advantage Capital, we use a range of economic development programs to invest in rural and underserved communities. A recent addition to our toolkit is the Missouri Rural Access to Capital Act (MO RAC), a program created to grow investment in rural businesses across the state.
This program enables us to invest in traditionally overlooked areas, unlocking growth capital for businesses and helping them scale operations, support jobs, and strengthen their local economies.
Is Your Business Eligible for Investment?
To qualify, businesses must:
- Be headquartered and primarily operate in Missouri
- Employ fewer than 250 people
- Be in a census place population under 50,000, as defined by the USDA
- Be privately held and independently operated (not foreign-owned or government-run)
- Operate under the following industry NAICS codes:
- 11: Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting; 21: Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction; 22: Utilities; 31-33: Manufacturing; 48-49: Transportation and Warehousing; 62: Health Care and Social Assistance; 811: Repair and Maintenance
Ultimately, the businesses served by this rural investment program drive local job creation, stabilize rural communities, and generate tax revenues that benefit the entire state.
Why This Program Matters for Rural Missouri
The MO RAC program has the potential to transform the economic landscape of rural Missouri. Advantage Capital is actively participating in this program as a licensed rural fund, continuing our commitment to bringing strategic capital to where it’s needed most.
As we move forward, our goal is to help more businesses grow and thrive by creating real, measurable impact in overlooked communities.
