Honoring Small Business Champions
Illinois
During a site visit to HatLaunch, Advantage Capital presented Small Business Champion awards to State Representative Jay Hoffmann and State Senator Chris Belt for their ongoing support of the Illinois New Markets Development program, which delivers essential financing to small businesses across the state.
Nevada
After leading a panel at Reno Startup Week, Sandra M. Moore, managing director and chief impact officer at Advantage Capital, presented Senator Dina Neal with a Small Business Champion award for her long-standing support of the Nevada New Markets Job Act program and her advocacy for small business growth across the state.
Connecticut
During portfolio company Specialty Printing’s recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz and State Representative Jane Garibay were recognized for their commitment to advancing the Invest CT program, which expands access to capital for growing businesses statewide.

Specialty Printing, a family-owned manufacturer based in Windsor, Connecticut, received the Outstanding Impact Business Award for its continued growth, job creation, and innovation made possible through the Invest CT program. With an $11.5 million investment from Advantage Capital, the company expanded its operations, upgraded its technology, and plans to add quality jobs—all while advancing sustainable labeling solutions. This recognition reflects how flexible, impact-driven capital can help established businesses scale responsibly and strengthen their local economies.
